This is a specimen of Sterling Type Foundry cut no. 9376, a typecast cut of the Hudson Terraplane logo. The Terraplane was manufactured from 1932 to 1938.

I chose it to represent the McLaughlin-era Sterling Type Foundry here because it was an automobile logo which did not involve current trademark issues (as the Ford "egg" would have).
