What better symbol of organization for printing than a type case layout? This one is "California Job Case - Improved Layout" from Jahn, Hugo. Hand Composition. NY: John Wiley and Sons, 1931. A search of the copyright records did not reveal a renewal for the copyright on this volume, so I presume that it lapsed into the public domain upon the expiration of its original copyright in 1959. Scanned by the author from the original.
