Other 19th Century Writers in English

(On Ornamental Turning) (Other than the Holtzapffels)

I'm not sure if it's better to organize this chronologically or alphabetically; I'll go with alphabetically for now.

Don't let the often very plain title pages (as shown in the icons here) fool you; many of these works contain some of the very best explanations for doing complex machine tool work ever.

Amateur Mechanical Society, Vol. 1 (1871-2)

The Quarterly Journal of the Amateur Mechanical Society. Vol. 1 (1871-1872). (London: Trübner & Co.)

Despite its name (which suggests a broader scope), this Society's journal, at least at this time, is devoted almost entirely to ornamental turning.
