Late Edwardian Women's Fashion

These images are from The Graphic Arts and Crafts Year Boook from 1910. That is, they're taken not from a journal of Fashion, but from a journal of the technical reproduction of images of Fashion. Walter Benjamin, eat your heart out.

These constitute a rather vicious attack on women, actually. Taken seriously (and they were meant seriously) they promote an unattainable model of anorexic deformity that could ruin a life. They're quite pretty, though.
