Several individuals have begun reverse-engineering Linotype/Intertype compatible parts. What is particularly exciting is that some of them have released their engineering drawings and CAD/CAM models for use by others. From these beginnings, it is to be hoped that someday we will be able to build new Linotypes and Intertypes as open-source hardware.
Note that in each case these drawings and models are new works owned by these individuals which have been released by them under particular licensing terms. Please understand and respect these terms.
