The following five calling cards were puchased for $1 (for all five) in an antique store in Monroe, Wisconsin in 2012. It is likely (but of course not completely certain) that they all came from the same source.
They are all approximately 3 3/8 wide by 1 7/8 high, though on four of the five the cutting is not square. The backgrounds are, I believe, printed lithographically. The names are printed letterpress. All but one are rather poorly printed and cut.
The typeface used for the names on the cards of the three Groats is Treasury Open, designed and cut by Herman Ihlenburg for Mackellar, Smiths and Jordan in 1875.

Below is the back of the "Laura J. Ast." card. It is the only one of the five with anything written on the back.

The five calling cards from the Groats, Mason, and Ast are scans done by me of cards that I own. I hereby dedicate these images to the public domain.
