ATF Constituent Foundries
At some early point, ATF began designating their constituent type foundries by two different systems of codes (letter and numeric). The letter coding scheme survived the consolidation into a single plant, and is important in matching matrices to appropriate molds.

It hasn't always been 0.918, even at ATF.
