A Catalogue of Type (1929)
Note: In the original copy as bound, there are no pages between pp. 66 (the last regular specimen page) and the blue divider before p. 101 (the first "Handy Box Font" page); neither are there pages between p. 130 (the last Handy Box Font) and the blue divider before p. 201 (the first "Decorative and Spacing Materials" page).
This specimen contains several points of historical interest. It identifies the original (or at least previous) name of the company as "Trade Monotypers" (blue divider before p. 101). It asserts that Trade Monotypers developed the concept and packaging of the "Handy Box Font." It opens with an interesting essay on the transformation of the company from a printing company to a typefoundry; as a part of this essay, they discuss and present evidence concerning the hardness of types.
