1. Overview

St. Louis. 1895-1912. Established as a reaction to the amalgamation of ATF by William A. Schraubstadter, Carl Schraubstadter Jr., and Oswald Schraubstadter, the sons of Carl Schraubstadter Sr (co-owner of the former Central Type Foundry of St. Louis). Purchased by American Type Founders in 1912.
