In addition to the catalog noted here, Rob Roy Kelly's American Wood Type: 1828-1900 ("Notes on the Evolution of Decorated and Large Types and Comments on Related Trades of the Period") is essential to the study of all wood type.

Specimens of Wood Type Manufactured by the Wm. H. Page Wood Type Co. (Norwich, CT: William H. Page Wood Type Co., 1878 [But cover for Dauchy & Co., NY]). Kelly (44) notes that the William H. Page Company purchased Cooley & Dauchy. He cites an 1872 specimen published in NY by Dauchy & Co. (64). He also notes that Page moved to Norwich in 1876. The date on the specimen digitized by Unicorn Graphics is 1878-04-01, but that is from the price list in it, not a title page.
