Hammond Machinery Builders of Kalamzoo, Michigan made several machines for stereotype plate making, including the MatMakir, EasyKaster, and RouterPlaner.
The Hammond EasyKaster was a dual-purpose machine capable both of pouring ingots and of making stereotype plates. I discuss it's capabilities as a remelt furnace in the Remelting Equipment set of Notebooks.
Hammond MatMakir, EasyKaster, RouterPlaner Operating Instructions
Note: While the EasyKaster could be used for remelt and ingot casting, the instructions for it here deal almost entirely with its use for stereotype platemaking.
