This is a set of digital images of an article by Walter Ferris, "The Bucyrus Locomotive Pile Driver," which appeared as paper No. 1265 (pp. 905-921) of Volume 31 (1909) of the Transactions of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

These images are simply JPEG versions (sometimes rotated) of the original 300 dpi scans. They average something over half a Megabyte each (9.8 Megabytes altogether). They were scanned from the original on 2001-05-29 by David M. MacMillan.
