Cited by Jim Rimmer in Pie Tree Press , p. 17 as having cast the type used in the Vancouver Technical High School when he was there in 1948.

An online page on "The Vancouver Club of Printing House Craftsman: History" ( http://www.vcphc.org/History4.htm) incidentally gives the names of the principals and the partial address of the firm, Pender Street West, as of February 13, 1929 (the date of the founding of the Vancouver Club of PHC).

An advertisement in The New Canadian (July 1, 1940): p. 20. reads: "Compliments[:] Shilvock-Parkes Ltd. Trade Composition[,] Leads - Slugs - Rules -- Foundry Type[.] 341 West Pender St. Vancouver, B.C."
